Year: Junior
My college experience began with Women in Engineering’s Research Internships in Science and Engineering and has been full of amazing opportunities. I am involved with Engineers without Borders (EWB) and am working on a project in which we will travel to Brazil. This past summer, I was in Brazil constructing wetland sanitation systems and teaching the community how to build and maintain these systems. I am also a member of the American Institute of Astronautics and Aeronautics, Catholic Daughters of America, and the university band. The A. James Clark School of Engineering has also offered me an opportunity to continue my first semester freshman research project by taking an upper level research course. The engineering school’s emphasis on undergraduate research was a large part of why I choose to attend the University of Maryland, and I am thrilled about having this opportunity. In between clubs, classes, and homework, I love attending Maryland sports events, spending time with my friends, and being a TERP!!
