Himali Fernando

After participating in the Research Internships in Science and Engineering program during the summer before my freshman year, I became interested in majoring in biological resources engineering, which is now bioengineering. The RISE program introduced me to the school of engineering and made me want to be a part of it.  I enjoy being a part of Society of Women Engineers, Student Global AIDS Campaign, Pre-med Society, and Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST).  I also love playing tennis, playing the piano, and reading books.
